Willard Esty has been going to the same bank for over 50 years.

But when he heard CIBC’s recent announcement that its location in Salisbury will shut down in the spring, he decided to make a switch to a different company. 

“I’m just sorry about the fact that the bank has to close,” he said. 

The next nearest CIBC to Esty, and where the company has directed its clients from Salisbury, is in Riverview — about 20 kilometres away.

“I disagreed with going all the way to Riverview,” he said.
