On a little country lane is a signpost informing viewers how far and in what direction to go to get to exciting parts of the world. Why would such a set of directions be found on this little-travelled lane?
To discourage visitors from continuing down the lane. Because if they do, they will come across this:
And the locals, although very friendly, want to keep the secret of New River Beach to themselves.
Of course, on Sandcastle Day thousands of people descend on the beach to show off their building skills so the secret’s out anyway.
