UNB’s Center for Digital Scholarship officially launched it services with a series of presentations on the myriad services it provides to faculty, staff, students, scholars outside UNB and the broader community. Information on their publishing services, scholarly communications and digital imaging can be found on their website digitalscholarship.lib.unb.ca.
The presentations were followed by a demonstration of on-demand printing using the Center’s Express Print equipment located in the lobby of the Harriet Irving Library. It is capable of printing a book complete with colour cover in 10 minutes. The first book off the line was Dr. Frank Cronin’s A Cock for Asclepious, a work that challenges the traditional interpretation of Plato, and instead views Plato as the elaborator of the hypothetical method.
