Moncton – December 2, 2021) – The Christmas classic L’Enfant au tambour (French version of The Little Drummer Boy) has been majestically covered by the duo Sirène et Matelot.
“We did this Christmas song for a radio show last year and many people asked if they could hear it again. We decided to send it to radio stations,” the artists explain. The song is a carol composed by Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941 from a traditional Czech source. It has been translated and interpreted hundreds of times.
The duo, consisting of Patricia Richard and Lennie Gallant, released a debut album of original compositions in the summer of 2019.
Sirène et Matelot will hit the road on a major tour of the four Atlantic provinces in February and March 2022.
