Diesel prices jumped across all Maritime provinces Saturday, with costs reaching a high of $2.74 per litre in Prince Edward Island after a single-day surge of 17.9 cents.

Nova Scotia and New Brunswick recorded significant overnight increases as well. In the Halifax area, maximum prices rose by 14.9 cents to $2.702 per litre, with costs across Nova Scotia’s six pricing zones holding above $2.523 per litre.
