Residents of the rural Saint John community of Lorneville presented their case in court Tuesday for why city council’s decision to allow an expanded Spruce Lake Industrial Park should be overturned.
Adam Wilkins, Shayne Galbraith and Chris Watson said they were speaking on behalf of the community when they appeared before Justice Kathryn Gregory of the Court of King’s Bench.
The city will presesnt its response to the residents on Wednesday.
The court proceeding is the latest chapter in a saga that started over two years ago, when the city announced plans to open more than 600 hectares in the area to industrial development.
