Much of New Brunswick is under an Environment Canada severe thunderstorm watch on Friday.
The weather agency issued the watch for Friday afternoon into late evening, saying that the thunderstorms could bring 40 milimetres locally per hour of rainfall, hail one to two centimetres in diameter, and wind gusts near 90 kilomtres an hour.
There is also a slight risk of a tornado, the watch says.
