A 14-year-old boy was killed when the dirt bike he was riding collided with a pickup truck in Meductic, a small community about 30 kilometres southeast of Woodstock, police said Friday.
RCMP say they were dispatched to the collision at the intersection of Crow Hill Drive and Temple Road at about 1 p.m. on Thursday.
“The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of the dirt bike, travelling northbound on Crow Hill Drive, failed to stop at an intersection, and collided with the pickup truck travelling eastbound Temple Road,” RCMP said in a news release.
The teen on the dirt bike was from the community of Hartin Settlement, southwest of the crash site. He died at the scene.
