Just six days after it was closed because of funding problems, the Nutrien Civic Centre in Sussex will reopen to the public on Friday.  

Executive director Stefanie McFarlane says the centre received a cheque this week from the Kings Regional Service Commission, covering its funding commitment to the end of August. 

McFarlane said the commission had previously held back a larger quarterly payment to the centre.
