Provincial representatives and local non-profit, The Rising Tide, announced that a 30-unit building that will provide housing for vulnerable seniors is nearly complete. The Rising Tide president, Dale Hicks, says the organization hopes for people to begin moving in by the end of August or early September.

A housing development intended for vulnerable seniors living in Moncton is nearly complete and the new tenants are expected to start moving in by the end of next month.
The units are being built in a former office building on the corner of St. George Boulevard and Bessborough Avenue in Moncton’s west end.
The development is led by the City of Moncton and the Rising Tide Community Initiatives Inc., a non-profit that provides affordable housing support within the city. The Rising Tide acquired the building, previously home to Wawanesa Insurance, in early 2025.
Representatives of all levels of government joined officials from Rising Tide to give an update on the development at a Friday announcement.
