After years without a farmers’ market, the town of Riverview now has one, and it’s outdoors and giving residents a new spot to shop local.
The Chocolate River Station Farmers’ Market opened earlier this summer at 391 Coverdale Rd. in Riverview, part of the Greater Moncton area.
Every Saturday, vendors set up on the town boardwalk to sell food, flowers and locally made accessories.
“I think it’s something that residents in Riverview have really wanted to see for a long time,” said Mayor Andrew LeBlanc, who’s been at the market every week since it opened.
He said the market gives residents more opportunities to shop locally,
