A 29-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after a 45-year-old woman was found dead in a Blacks Harbour residence.
RCMP discovered the body of Patricia Honeywell in a Wellington Road residence when they went to do a wellness check around 1:50 a.m. on July 17.
Jordan Blanchard was taken into custody and appeared in Saint John provincial court by video link, charged with aggravated assault.
On Friday, he appeared in court again and was charged with second-degree murder.
Blanchard remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 21.
