The federal government has announced nearly $1.3 million for the expansion of youth mental health services in southeast New Brunswick.

The money was provided to Moncton’s Atlantic Wellness to deliver free mental health services to youth aged of 12 to 25, over the next four years.

The non-profit plans to increase its staffing by hiring two new therapists and a community engagement liaison for their outreach programs, said executive director Andrew LeBlanc at Thursday morning’s announcement.
