Music, styles of dance and cuisine from around the world filled Moncton’s Centennial Park on Sunday at a multicultural community barbecue.

Hundreds of people attended to enjoy a variety of foods from different vendors, watch cultural performances and purchase handcrafted items. 

“We would love if [people] would take away some memories, some fun, some joy as well,” said Vanha Dang, a volunteer with Moncton Cares.

The event, now in its third year, is organized by Moncton Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and assistance to newcomers.

Sifat Khan attended the event with his family. He said events like this showcase Moncton’s diversity.
