The biggest award show on Broadway takes place in just a couple of weeks. And this year, a New Brunswick name might stand out to some. 

On June 7, Lee Kinney, originally from Woodstock, and his wife, Kris, will be at the Tony Awards, a show celebrating Broadway theatre that has been going on since 1947.

“It’s not anything that I could have ever imagined for myself, really, as a person growing up in New Brunswick,” said Kinney, who now lives in New York City.

Kinney is nominated for best sound design of a play.
