Summer may not officially begin for another month, but for many, Victoria Day is the unofficial kickoff of the summer season.

But not everything will be open. Here’s a breakdown of what’s open and closed on Monday in New Brunswick.

Retail and grocery:

  • Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations will be open with hours depending on location. 
  • Walmart, Sobeys and Atlantic Superstore locations will be closed.
  • N.B. Liquor and Cannabis N.B. locations will be closed.
  • Regent Mall in Fredericton, McAllister Place in Saint John and CF Champlain in Dieppe will be closed.
  • The Saint John City Market will be closed.

Government offices, public services:

  • Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton city halls and administrative offices will be closed.
  • Saint John Transit, Fredericton Transit and Codiac Transpo will not be running.
