Shawn Crossman is Moncton’s mayor-elect following Monday’s municipal election.
He emerged on top in a four-person race.
“I want to thank the citizens of Moncton for giving me the honour to lead this city forward in the next four years with a strong and united council and focused on community,” Crossman told supporters at a legion hall in the city’s Sunny Brae neighbourhood.
“We’re going to make sure that our community comes first and we have conversations on public safety, conversations on development, and we get away from the negativity that we’ve seen.”
