Two people facing separate first-degree murder charges in the death of 39-year-old Melissa Price are now facing a joint second-degree murder charge, meaning they will be tried together.

Price’s body was found in a garbage bin on a residential street in Moncton on Feb. 15. It’s alleged she was murdered the previous day.

Devlin O’Blenis, 35, and Leandra Beaulieu, 36, were both originally facing a charge of first-degree murder. O’Blenis was charged first, on March 12, while Beaulieu was charged two weeks later on March 26.

Police have not said how Price died or how she may have known those charged. Police have said they believed her death was an “isolated incident.”
