Advance voting in New Brunswick’s local government elections is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Monday.
These elections take place every four years in communities around the province to choose municipal councillors, mayors and representatives on district education councils.
In some areas, voters have many things to vote for and many options, said Kim Poffenroth, New Brunswick’s chief electoral officer.
“Miramichi for example, they’ll have francophone and anglophone school districts, they have five individuals running for mayor and then I believe it’s 24 people running for eight councillors at large. So … it’s a lot on the ballot.”

Voters will resume deciding elected positions on regional health boards in 2030.
