A Canada National train derailed in Saint John on Monday morning.

The derailment happened near the Courtenay Bay Channel and Courtenay Bay Causeway.

CN did not respond to a request for comment, and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada could share few details of the incident, according to spokesperson Hugo Fontaine.

Although he said the board was notified of the derailment, he couldn’t say what the freight train was carrying or how it derailed.

The board has not sent anyone to the scene, he said.
