Extensive road work on the Confederation Bridge is set to affect traffic and travel time for those crossing between P.E.I. and New Brunswick for about two months, says the company that manages bridge operations.
The project will begin on May 1 and work will continue seven days a week. It’s expected to cause delays of about 30 to 60 minutes, according to the Confederation Bridge website, which is run by Strait Crossing Bridge Limited.
“The upcoming resurfacing project represents the most significant work undertaken since the bridge was originally constructed,” the website says.
