Maritime Bus has submitted an application to regulators asking to make some changes to its rates and service.

The company, which has been operating inter-city bus services in the Maritimes for the past 14 years, runs 20 routes that link communities across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and P.E.I. 

Recently, the company applied to the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board and to the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board to modify pricing for its bus fares.

Mike Cassidy, who owns Coach Atlantic/Maritime Bus, told CBC Radio’s Information Morning Fredericton, said the company doesn’t want to change “base fares” but is asking to introduce dynamic pricing, something it hasn’t done before.
