Responses have been mixed to New Brunswick’s new mining strategy, which the Holt government hopes will revive the sector and generate economic growth and well-paying jobs.
Premier Susan Holt announced the strategy at a mining conference in Toronto on Monday, saying development would occur under strong environmental standards and with “meaningful” partnerships with Indigenous communities.
