Police are treating the death of a woman found in a garbage bin over the weekend in Moncton as a homicide.
In a news release late Tuesday afternoon, RCMP said the woman was about 40 years old and from Moncton, but they did not identify her.
The release said RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death on High Street around 12:10 p.m. on Sunday.
“When police arrived, they located a woman deceased in a garbage bin outside near a walking trail,” the release said.
Early Monday morning, RCMP said, they conducted a police operation on Norwood Avenue in Moncton in relation to their investigation.
The New Brunswick RCMP major crime unit determined the woman’s death was suspicious and would be investigated as a homicide,
