The Town of Rothesay is constructing a $36-million recreation and community centre similar to ones in neighbouring communities like Quispamsis and Hampton.

Premier Susan Holt, who was in Rothesay to announce a $6-million contribution to the new facility, said these complexes have become priorities for communities that place an emphasis on health and wellness.

“There are lots of great projects out there and particularly projects like these that are investments in well-being and the health of the community,” Holt said.
