We are celebrating Peace Week here at the YMCA of Fredericton!
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Mayor Kate, Chris and Bonnie from Fredericton North Rotary Club for joining our YMCA Staff at the Flag Raising Ceremony.
Fredericton North Rotary Club is one of our 2023 Peace Medallion Recipients, we are celebrating their work in supporting Youth through Camp Rotary, YMCA Summer Camps, Nashwaaksis Nutrition Baskets, donations of dictionaries and their work supporting the Environment through trail maintenance initiatives, Fredericton Botanical Gardens Food Forest, Killarney Lake Clean Up.
Marty Forsythe is our other 2023 Peace Medallion Recipient. Marty promotes peace through his work with the Children’s Wish NB, Special Olympics and the Chalmers Foundation. He also manages the Oromocto High School Lady Blues Hockey Team. Marty is described as an active participants, willing to jump in and make an impact towards Peace wherever there is a need.
