Josh Sandu and Andrew Laite are the Newfoundland based duo known as Rube and Rake. Their sound, while remaining spare and sparse, still manages to fill a room with incredible warmth, thanks to their velvet-like vocals and superb storytelling.
Uniquely delivering a dance of harmonies that is nothing short of captivating, watching Rube and Rake weave their way around a single mic, balancing their voices until they flawlessly become one, is an act of true artistry.
Their sophomore release, Leave With Nothing, further cemented their reputation as top level talent on the east coast, and won them the ECMA for ‘Songwriter(s) of The Year’ in 2022.
To kick off the evening’s hootenanny vibe, St. John’s singer-songwriter Len O’Neill will open up the show. His music has been called ‘personal in scope and poetic in style’.
