Road to Reopening: Weekly Construction Update – Lincoln Road Roundabout Fully Open, Queen Street On-Street Work Complete, and Paving Progress on Riverside Drive
Happy Friday! Friends, we are days away from re-opening all our roads and streets. Let’s get right to your weekly construction update with news on Riverside Drive and a goodbye to everyone’s favorite utility pole.
The Lincoln Road roundabout is expected to be fully open to traffic this evening! Crews still have some patching work next week to do around the area formerly occupied by our now famous (RIP) utility pole, however, the roundabout will be open and stay open. Hooray!
On-street work along Queen Street between York and the Police Station is complete! Don’t those paverstones look great?!
Canada Street is paved and open to traffic! Still a bit of tidy work to do there to fully complete the project but all on-street work is done.
Riverside Drive is now scheduled to be paved beginning Monday. We know this is not the news many of you were hoping for today. We’ve heard you and are doing *everything* we can to have that road open to through traffic as soon as possible!
Carleton Street between Brunswick and King will be closed to traffic on Monday (Nov. 20) for paving. Pedestrian access remains.
NBDTI tells us the Mactaquac Dam will remain closed to all traffic in both directions until Tuesday, November 21st, for placement and curing of concrete. This work is weather permitting.
We know it’s been a long construction season and appreciate your patience along the way. You know the drill! Pop your questions in the comments below!
