NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL BY-ELECTIONS:
Any Canadian Citizen, 18 or older (on or before election day), who is a resident of Grand Manan for at least 6 months prior to the election can run for Village of Grand Manan Common Council. The Village of Grand Manan Common Council has 10 elected seats – including the Mayor’s. A total of 9 Councillors in the community represent The Island of Grand Manan.
Individuals wanting to run for Common Council must submit nomination papers to the Municipal Returning Office in St. Stephen, NB. Nomination papers can be found on the Elections NB website https://www.electionsnb.ca/…/enb/en/resources/forms.html or from your local Municipal Returning Office.
