You have no doubt heard of the bread price-fixing scheme that Loblaw Companies Ltd. (that includes the Atlantic SuperStore) has admitted involvement in and also that they are offering customers $25 gift cards as atonement.
You may not have heard of a movement to apply for the cards and donate them to charity, specifically food banks, community kitchens and shelters: see the story here.
So, here’s info on the program that explains registration and provides a link to be notified of registration. BTW, in response to an inquiry, Loblaw said, “Yes, once you receive the card you may donate it to charity.”
